Is that after they (and we) can't afford gas at $105 a barrel?

Bye Bye--General Lee

And this is bad because...?

See I'm guessing they may have some empty seats on Tuesdays/Wednesdays Saturdays anyway. Get $250 up front, maybe the customer will only fly once or twice. Seems like a unique way to generate some revenue. Of course it is a lot easier to criticize something before it even has a chance to be evaluated.

Juan Tango--Love your avatar. Did Fred Smith really buy the Air Force? :D TC

Yeah, Airtran used to do this, I don't know if they do anymore. I believe it was called X-Fares and was for college students. I can't remember exact details, but I seem to want to say that it was 50 bucks and you rode priority standby. Maybe one of the FL guys can correct me if im wrong.

Ok, let me explain...

It's not the program that's a bad idea...it's the name...GLIDE??? As in "Best Glide" or "Windmilling engines"...

Yeah, I hear you clucking but I can't find your nest...
If aviation types had problems figuring out what you thought was wrong with the program I'm guessing the John Q. won't either. Especially John Q. Prematriculation.

I think it's really neat how they made it from the "Regional" column to the "Majors"!

I know, it's just where someone posted, but GO INDY!

Anyhow, way back when I was a college student, I did my best to "glide" my way through school. As a result, I am a pilot, and not a well paid engineer.
