I was checking fares for a friend tonight and Independence and Airtran were the lowest competitors on this particular route in July. But when you looked at the flight details, it said aircraft N/A for IA. Hum, selling seats on airplanes that don't exist yet. Just hope that when he shows up to airport, there is something to fly on.:eek:
 
Big gamble and lotsa jobs will be riding on this one. . Hope this will work but for them but seems like quite a bit of oversaturation in some of these markets. You can count on the others to match these fares when able. The first 12 months should be quite interesting to say the least.

You should be able to check the flight details on June 16th.

We (ACA) have no choice...United did not honor our existing contract. Last time I checked this was a free market economy. I can only speak for myself...but I'd rather see us try to make it on our own than be abused as a contract regional airline by legacy carriers. I'm excited about flying under our own "flag". Check out the website and watch the press release.

Hopefully, other regionals will follow...
