Welcome back General! I had ordered 10,000 "Free the General" shirts. I guess they're not worth much now. Anyway, glad you're back you former commuter prick!

i'll still take 2

General what your take on the Hawaii situation?

It will be interesting to see how that plays out. I think competition can be good for the consumer, but I also have no problem with Hawaiian and Aloha becoming tougher competitors towards Mesa. I think Mesa will have a tough time being the new guy on the block in Hawaii.

Part of this will depend on whether Mesa provides feed to other airlines (i.e., United or AWA/USAirways) or whether it is an independent player. I thought Aloha had a marketing relationship with United. With 50 seats per aircraft and low airfares, that aircraft will need to fly quite a few times per day to break even on operating costs alone (in addition to capital costs). At least the weather will likely hold up vs. other parts of the country...

Should be interesting to watch. I can't imagine living in Hawaii as a CRJ FO on a Mesa salary...

General Who?? Never heard of him.

Welcome back GL.

By the way...who's General Lee. Must be some kind of aviation superhero around here.

Whatever...ha,ha.

All for now,

Dude, seriously, I know you got a kick out of reading all the strokes. But what was it like getting banned? Could you still log in and read? Was it when you tried to post that you got coc* blocked? What were the details? I'm trying to decide how far I can take my debates with my friends Maru and as214 without being tossed aside like yesterday's garbage.

We don't agree on much but I would never call for you to get banned no matter how bad it gets. In fact I would fight tooth and nail if you ever did get banned for voicing your opinion on any matter. The guy who banned General probably has nothing going on for himself outside of aviation. Whether flying in a cockpit or moderating a message board the coolest guys are the ones who have other things going on besides jets.

General, you were seriously banned for using the term, "commuter" ?

What is going to happen to that moderator? A banning maybe?

Good to see you back General. To much going on in aviation not to have your input. :D

Yes, that was the supposed reason, and when I was banned the reason given on the screen was "REASON: NONE." I brought it up with one of the other moderators and I think they will take care of this situation. I did not use the term "commuter" to slam someone, rather decribe what I used to fly for in the '90s.

SWA/FO,

Thanks. I have a feeling I will be posting a lot about DL in the near future.

Bye Bye--General Lee

Thank you for all of the support out there to get me released. I have PM'd the moderator and thanked him too. I honestly used the term "commuters" to describe what I used to fly for, and that was a "commuter". Now they are called "regionals" and most of them fly out of their regions now anyway. (Those darn RJs!!!!!)

Again, thanks for all of the support, and my ego only swelled 3 or 4 times it's normal size.

"They like me, they really like me......."

PS--The Moderator I thanked was Falcon Capt

Bye Bye--General Lee

He can't do that to our pledges...only we can do that to our pledges! Welcome back General!

Hello General

First of all I'd like to say welcome back, I don't post too much on this board for different reasons. You didn't deserve being banned for using the term " commuter". I don't always agree with you, but you should be allowed your say. I am a " commuter pilot " / "regional pilot" also furloughed AA with military USMC VMA-142 flying. I really wish right now I was in your shoes flying for Delta, but I have to settle for what I have and deal with it. I know you feel like you put in your time with the commuters and moved on, but there are many like me that have gone full circle. Keep up the posts and I enjoy reading all of your wisdom.

What a bunch of BS. I used to fly for a COMMUTER AIRLINE. That's how I got my start in the airlines. Flying as a COMMUTER AIRLINE PILOT. Those airlines mostly don't exist anymore, or have mutated into some other nightmare, but that's what we called it.

Regional airlines are nice. They have autopilots, flight attendants, even jets! They can call it what they want, they sure aren't commuters - but no one should be ashamed of that term. .

Welcome back your input in enlighting. The orginal General Lee, did not he fight on the loosing side for a lost cause? Continue your battle and in the end you will still have your honor. BTW maybe you were banned for have too many posts and your post ratio was out of the std limits, kinda like a posting overspeed warning.

Why don't you guys just buy the General an engagement ring and be over with it? Enough slobbering over this guy.

I'll answer for him since I think he missed this question. His screen name comes from the car in Dukes of Hazzard.

Welcome back GenLee, you naughty boy!
