actually all this back and forth bickering reminds me of a couple of fleas on a dog arguing about who actually owns the dog! LOL

keep it up though, it's mildly entertaining................

"laughing at the service failures..."

Hey, Dan, I hope you aren't even an Astar pilot. Saying something like that only makes me shake my head. If that is true at Astar (it isn't at ABX,) that is truely sad, and I do feel sorry for you guys.

Morale at ABX is actually pretty high. I am pretty junior and if anyone would be low it would be my seniority level. Things are on the upturn with hiring happening this year at some point.

DHL will get it's stuff together, who survives and then grows with DHL will be another point all together. With morale as low as you say it is at Astar, I hope it isn't them.

Making 15-30K less last year than in year's past because you lost flying to ABX, NWA, Kallitta, Gemini, might have something to do with the downturn in morale.

Thats on the 8. Over on the 72 things are rosy. We've picked up quite a bit of flying and I'm loving life......... morale is sky high. There is plenty to go around. We have been given around 4.5 million by DHL for CATII and with our awesome management team we should be CAT II (entire fleet)by around 2012 give or take a year. No worries!

Now that is funny, glad someone in building 11 has a sense of humor!

Lost flying to ABX? What flying is that? The flying you never had? The flying you went to court to get? The flying ABX was doing for Airborne? :puke:

ABX has parked almost all of the 8's (we had 35 at one point) and around 20 of the 9's. The only aircraft showing any growth is the 767, and most of that is outside work. How many aircraft have you parked?

I'll concede you lost some flying to NWA and others, but you haven't lost anything to ABX. We used to serve every city in the U.S. you now serve. No more.

Hmm we don't do any transcon work on the Bus. Wonder where that went?We don't do anymore JFK-BRU-BAH anymore, where'd that go? We're now only doing one flight a day to DEN? Didn't the 76 start to go through DEN? ANC, SFO, PHX. Our hub moved to sticksville. Our aircraft sucks compared to...heck, compared to anything. Our management sucks. Neither our owner nor our customer seems to have a plan other than to sqeeze blood from a turnip. We get called job grabbers for trying to enforce our contract. (How dare we! The nerve.) Three years into contract negotiations no where close to a contract. Going backwards in seniority with every retirement. I'm guessin before it's over we'll see furloughs. And we've got the competition's management across the field colluding with our management to prevent phantom "wildcat strikes". I don't care if ya puke or not. That's my POV. You ain't got to agree. Boy's, what else am I missin?

I'm just tellin ya why I'm lookin at leavin. How many of yall are interviewing? We've got quite a few.

But you didn't park those airplanes. They're still flying somewhere, right?

Nobody's looking elsewhere that I know of, although I can't speak for all the junior guys/gals.

Our hub moved to sticksville.
Now ya done it. Thems fightin words. We LOVE our little Hooterville.

I'm cornfused, is it Pigville, Sticksville, or Hootersville? I personally like it up here, kinda of relaxing and that is one hell of a Walmart!:D

Just history repeating itself.

And now children, for your edification and amusement: a video. It's a little upmarket for this particular site (if you catch my drift) but well worth viewing. A sad story told in pictures accompanied by a nice catchy tune. Try not to spill/dribble too much beer over the keyboard as you wave your arms/hum along. The end says it all. Not a dry-eye in the house.

BOS, 2 Flights to EWR, JFK (other than the transcon), DEN (days and nights) SLC (days and nights), MSY, IAH, SAT, ORD (2 flights), MIA, FLL, just off the top of my head. I'm sure if I went to the past skeds vs present I could find more.

All other things being equal, if I were real junior at either company I'd have paper on the street.
