There's been talks of "Flying Safe" or "slow downs" or even mass sick calls, which ALPA cannot authorize.
How about this? Spread the word. On April 1st, every flight that is airborne as the clock turns to 10am, will declare an emergency and request to divert to JFK...no matter where you are. Then when told to pick somewhere else, pick the farthest airport possible, that doesn't carry Jet-A. Then go there.
As for excuses for the emergency, you get to come up with that yourself.
Talk about screwing up the system. It will take a week for ATC and the Airlines to straighten everything out.
