what would you do? long haul freighter? regional flying? long haul pax? bush?

Just wondering what people consider their favorite type of flying, minus how horrible the pay is, of course

Thanks.

The one that lets you spend the most time at home.

What your question should read, is "if all flying jobs had the same QOL and pay"..

but if you want to see the world and dont have a family, it seems like cargo flying is a good place to do it. Right?

I have nothing but desk jobs to compare it to but, single pilot freight doing short day runs and home every night with your days off midweek. That way you have time to do things without all the weekend crowds (take your boat out when the ramps are dead, go out to restaurants without having to wait, etc).

Call me crazy.

timeoff. that sounds like a good plan. I wouldnt mind flying for mountain air, empire, etc. in the little c208s

Would prolly want to do something like Cape Air. Flying around New England in the summer would be pretty cool. Or the Carribbean.

Flying a big old Grumman seaplane around the Carribean would be my choice.

That would be great in and of itself, but to become a dream job it would also consist of maybe 2 to 3 days a week, one leg per day (unless I feel like flying more), 24 hour layovers, 36 if I can bring my Scuba stuff.

Guess I really need to just win a Lottery (or get a job with Mr. Buffett) so I can do skip the whole passenger thing.

The plane and destination are far behind who the other crewmembers are. They make the flights fun or miserable accordingly.

Shamrock has the right idea.... I've never even so much as been in a seaplane, but I think island hopping and dive master on days off would be the life!! Never hurts to dream.

The CE-208B pays the same as the little c208s.
