The senior guy at UPS, who pays the same regardless of what you fly, flies an A300 domestically. So I've been told.

Ready2Fly is TheGuat, Rhoid, IHaveAPension, LucyFurr, E170GuppyKiller, TheGuppyKiller, GuppyKiller, TheMissingLink, ABXpert, UPSer, RJDC, OUT, 410Dude, BR549, FreightNazi....etc...etc... Ignore anything and everything he has to say. He has been "permanently" banned over 20 times yet continues to come around just to annoy people. Swat this fly.

I love my job. Only work about 3 days a week, home almost every night and make as much as most 1st year RJ captains. The only catch is that it's all 421 and 441 time and 40 hours a month. I'm not really gaining good log book time.

That would be spraying coca in an OV-10, and poppy in the air tractor...or, as suits the occasion.

If the pay were the same, I suppose I'd be doing what I'm doing now...now being any given day...it's never been about the pay. Pay is good, but if maximizing the paycheck were the goal, then work outside of aviation would probably be the order of the day.

Out of curiosity, flx, how can you tell that the person you just called out is the same person? I realize that folks do it here all the time...but you seem to dedicate most of your energy here to finding people and harassing them, rather than contributing to threads...you seem to follow people around the boards and post about them, rather than actually posting material germain to the thread. That aside, what convinces you the poster you've most lately attacked is the same as all the other names you cited?

Along the same vein, what did that poster contribute in this thread that incites you to riot, and wakes you from the dead this fine day?

I'd have to say firebomber, if I could be at home every night.

You can...just a different "home" every night. Think of it as a home life that lets you eat out every night, and gives you a six month vacation each year. Tom Bodet will leave the light on for you.

I'd say CFI'ing as well. For me, the feeling of helping a student earn a license or rating is about the only positive in aviation right now.

:) That's one way to look at it.

Are you PIC on the 441? I would think thats quality timee...

Aaah, the perfect flying job...

Dogging freight at night, up and down the coast of Maine... no complaints from the back, moonlight over the water (when you can see it through the fog, of course) is beautiful... home during the days near BOS or MHT, overnights down east on occasion... (we'll disregard any mention of icing, late couriers, extra turns, and loading our own freight in sub zero weather at PQI)

If I got paid as much as much as my neighbor thinks I do, and got as many days off as my accountant thinks I do, and got as much a** as my wife thinks I do, this WOULD be the perfect job :)
