I thought ASA/SkyWest was going to get CAL flying?

Not sure that the flying moving towards the majors is a great thing anymore. The line between regional and mainline is very thin. I can make 80 bucks an hour with a 401k at a regional or 90 bucks an hour after a few years with a 401k at a major.

A few years ago the gap was enormous - 100 bucks/hour second year, retirement, great work rules. Now, not so much.

That's why so many guys are going to fedex and ups. Last carriers with wild profits, big pay and retirement.

Actually, JA said 70-seat rates were too high (ie, not 50-seat rates like SKW) and that 50-seat rates were fine (ie, lower than SKW). He wants the 70-seat rates dropped, but doesn't care to adjust the 50-seat rates at all.
