Ladies and gentlemen.... I SOLOED TODAY!!! :D:D:D:D:D

I have only 12.5 hours and the kid who was in the FBO working on his instrument rating that freaked out. Some Riddle grads told me they soloed with about 25 hours. But I am finally realizing the dream!!!!

Can anyone tell me the story behind cutting the back of my shirt out? I'm feeling quite a draft and I'm curious what the tradition is.

They're out of seat covers in the restroom. I can't believe you fell for that one. ;)

Congrats.

Congradulations, cforst!!!

I soloed today too, driving to the casino to try and pay off my 10K in debt. It didn't work....

Hey, I have over 15 hours, and solo flight is nowhere in sight. Again, congradulations.

Congrats man!

The shirt thing originated during WWI, according to the most accepted legend. Students had their "tail feathers" clipped once they were ready to go alone. Hope you didn't wear a good shirt!

20-40 hours before solo at Riddle? Seems like fleecing the student, if you ask me. If anything, a 141 program should get them whipped into shape in less time than average. UND was like 15 hours. Naturally, you're going to have the problem students, though.

Congrats
