Love the pic!!!! Could have been Crushed like a BUG!!! I think its just an optical illusion though.;)

Vector4fun,, Good Point !

Cool pic...

But, at 40-60-80 AGL where is the runway? Also, is that the correct flap setting for t/o or landing?

JB2k

Normal flap for landing the classic is 25 flap. It looks to me like its configured for landing however... I cant see this from where I sit.;)

i have dreams like this all the time....**CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** bonanza always pulls out on the runway and gets squashed and i get fired because I didn't issue the wind and altimeter. Dreams suck!

Is it a classic? Look at the engines....a -400F maybe?

Hmmmm,

No shadow beneath the 747....

There are shadows. Look at the engine....there's a shadow from the slats. Check out the pitot tubes...shadows there as well. You can tell from the Cessna's shadow that the sun is on the right. All of the visual shadows seem to be in agreement with each other. I'd bet that the 747's shadow is just out of view to the left in this shot.

Boeing 747-4R7F/SCD

so it isn't a classic. I looked for shadows and didn't see any on the ground but lighting on the boeing matches the cessna. If its a fake its a pretty **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** good one!

I think it is simply a function of the angle the picture was taken at. If you look closely you can actually see the hold short line right ahead of the Cessna and he is well behind it. I agree that the 47 looks a bit low though...

I think the picture is real, im pretty sure it is just a function of the shot angle that makes it look so unreal.

If you look to the right of the cessnas wing, you can see an elongated shadow, I think it is coming from the 74. It is definetly a little too low...
good thing theres no cows in the pasture, can you imagine the wheel trucks picking up a hefer... haha
anyways...

What bothers me is that the 747 looks really sharp, but the Cessna is a little blurry.

The ground can easily be curved so you can't see the runway from your POV, but just the grass in front of it.

No need to be bothered... the camera was panning with the 747. Eerything else (ground, trees, 172) was in relative motion, and therefore blurry.

I was only suggesting the 747 Classic uses 25 (Normal) flap for landing. It appears this 747 whether its a -400 or not is in landing configuration.;)

I vote for fake as well. There would be massive shadowing on the ground, as large as that 747 is. Also, he's about to drag a main prior to the runway.

Assuming it isn't fake, a perspective like this can happen with powerful telephoto camera lenses... they compress the depth of view and make it look like the Cessna is closer than it is.

looks like it's just a lot of zoom. If you look carefully you can see a little bit of the runway and it looks to me like you wouldn't be able to see the shadow because of the curvature of the ground... keep in mind that the 47 is a lot farther away than you think. The photographer was trying to get the 47 and the 172 interfered ;)

neat picture.
