The fact that this thread has so many comments about its authenticity almost makes it eligible to be in an a.net forum......sheesh.....

If its real.....id rather cue the next photo in sequence with the 172 blowing away from the wake......

I think it's a illusion that the cessna is closer, if you use a large enough telephoto lens, from far enough away, it really flattens out the field. Plus if they used a small enough aperture setting there would be little-to-no "fuzz" for items out of focal range. If the runway is actually nearer to the photographer, the runway and the shadow would be well below the frame's boundaries (out of view); and the cessna is simply well to the other (far) side of the intersection.

You have to look at the picture for a while and force you mind to think of the 747 as being closer. But once you get that perspective, everything makes sense.
