Ok, I'm ditching the dry-clean only's.. I'm sick of taking these things to the cleaners.

Can I get a recommendation on a pair of black machine washable pants that will keep the color and not fade too fast..

Oh yeah, they can look professional too..

Haggars (their dress pants) at JC Penny. Black and dark navy blue. Look good, pack well.

check out Jos. A. Bank...

I used to buy the Dockers-type stuff, and it wore well, no question, but when I moved out to the DC area I needed to "southern-ize" parts of my daily wardrobe - especially going to all-cotton stuff (much cooler).

Check out JA Bank - might cost a bit more, but they do offer very good quality stuff along with great service. I had a pair of dress pants where I had popped a seam by sitting down on a chair and catching the top of the pocket on the arm of the chair. Took them in to the local JA Bank and they had their tailor fix them - no charge.

Check out their web site for many good deals this time of year.

So, there you go - my .02.
