I need a internal recommendation with Pam Doyle, for a chance of interview

could you help me?

I am a reliable, hard-working, enthusiastic, worker. I would be honored if they would consider me for a flight officer position at FLEXJET team of excellence.

[FONT=&quot]I am eager to grow in my profession and would enthusiastically welcome an opportunity to become part of FLEXJET.

Who do you fly a DHC-8 for?

Why would you WANT to go to Flex? Not a hit on Flex, just there are a few better places to go if you have the time . . .

Look, I found this from Airline Pilot Forums:

You and AK pilot should hook up.

So it is a hit on Flex then. Have you worked there or do you just like to parrot what a few anonymous miserable people spew on the internet?

Don't get me wrong, there is always room for improvement, but give me a break. I don't think most Flex pilots themselves would say to someone, "why would you want to work here," so why should anyone listen to you when you say it?

We all understand we are inferior to the holy NetJets, but it's really not that bad.

Here we go again!! the F&*(&ing rally of the greatest and greates NJ.......so sick of it!
Why don't you guys respect people's career decisions for once. I say this again for all of you pretty boys at NJ, not everyone wants to wait half year for a interview and be part of the bottom of 2700+ pilots seniority list, be on the right seat for 5+ years. WE ALL KNOW ALREADY THAT NJ IS A GOOD PLACE but please, enough is ENOUGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

I feel like we're missing the story here. It's not about FlexJet or NetJets. It's about a guy who's looking on the Internet for a personal internal recommendation. It's a little vague, but my post above was a copy and paste from another forum. Word for word this guy is plastering the web with pleas for someone to vouch for him and get him in the door.

Why can't he just network like the rest of us? Remember a year or so ago someone was offering a personal recommendation on these boards. It was soon discovered that his company was offering cash for referrals.

People need to stop and think. A PERSONNAL RECOMMENDATION is just that...personal. If you lose sight of that then the real personal recommendation means nothing!

There's my two cents.

OK, going back to the topic.
I know of someone that refered a friend and his resume wasn't even selected for a phone interview.
Even us have become very competitive, not as bad as NJ but looks like even to get an interview here u have to get on line.

Good Luck

Why can't he just network like the rest of us?

The problem is that the next generation thinks asking for a recommendation on the Internet IS networking!!!!

Son, go out and shake some hands. Get to know some people. Don't BEG every fractional pilot you see for a job. Instead, ask questions, show knowledge, build relationships.

No offense, but exactly what would this recommendation say? That this guy contacted me over the internet and wants me to tell you how great a guy/pilot he is?

A recommendation is supposed to be just that, a statement from someone who knows you well enough to recommend you by placing his reputation with said company behind it. Usually it will also be someone you have flown with as a crew.

Instead of a recommendation from just "anyone you can find at Flex" you would be better off getting a good solid recommendation from someone else (not employed at Flex) who really knows you. A favorite Captain from your former airline, etc.

What are you going to say about the person who recommended you when asked during the interview? Make something up? I currently sit on an interview panel and I always ask about this relationship.

Please don't minimize the value of a rec any further than they already have been.

I say this again for all of you pretty boys at NJ, ENOUGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

That's a little insulting isn't it?

So would it be fair for me, based upon your post alone, to call ALL the pilots at Flex ****************************************? Or does that title just fit you?

Anybody who would vouch for another not based on personal history but a personal check is truly sleazy. As a defense, I guess this person thought they could help lessen the Flex first/second year pay sting.

Cheers- Rum

Here's a recommendation! I recommend you don"t go there! nuh!!!!
