This is why I liked the "West" coast flying! What a mess that place is...I hope I don't go anywhere near there anytime soon! I once heard an Iberia 747-200 takeoff in MIA after his clearance was cancelled. Causing an American Eagle to go around...then Iberia turned the wrong way after takeoff, turning south instead of north...There are a few airlines I'll NEVER travel on and they are one of them!

although I do hear a touch of jersey in some of his calls.....

Nah... Thats "Strong Island" all the way!

I can identify with that feeling that you just completely lost all awareness of whats going on around you. It sucks. I feel bad for the guy.

JFK can certainly be entertaining. I couldn't stop laughing one night when a Freedom dash 8 went down a closed taxiway and got stuck in a snow bank during the international push. Here's some gems I heard that night, I'm glad we were outbound.

"Congratulations Freedom, you've single handedly shut down half of the airport."

"Comair why are you still on my taxiway?"

"Uh, ramp won't let us in, there's no place to park sir."

"That's not my problem, get off my taxiway, if the ramp won't do their job, I'll do it for 'em, you're cleared into the ramp."

"Uh... okay?"

That right there is awesome!

JFK clip = every single day of my life, you get used it, entertaining though he's probably one the most level headed guys at Kennedy. The Canadian clip = hilarious how everyone came to his defense, everyone has to step on egg shells these days so you don't offend someone (but if they were flying in Quebec you would hear blah blah ble blu blah cleared to land. Who was that for?)

Hey I take offense to the New Jersey accent detected in the JFK controller by some of you folks. That was clearly long island...,most likely southern long island. Get your facts straight before you open your mouths full of comments. You stupid f______ c___s. Some days you think you are having a bad day...some days you know it.

How do you piss off a dude from Long Island? Tell him he's from Jersey!

If you tell him you think he's from Staten Island you'll probably get a beat down!

Even my GF who is'nt a pilot loved that "you can't do anything that plane of yours" . I love how he does'nt even pause but just continues doing his job! I love the JFK 'tude. I guess thats how they get ***t done.

That was awesome. Was Janet Reno flying that Jazz flight?? DIRECT DANCE PARTY!

The captain sounded more pissed then her, she sounded like she was actually laughing. Oh boo-hooo the controller was'nt talking about the pilot, he was just having a bad day, difference is some people have a bad day and they take a 15 and get a cig and a coffee, difference is when your having a bad day at ATC people can die! When ever ATC is short I can understand in certain situations. (like the one time a controller was short with me and giving out game scores, I called the boss) I have been it situations when ATC saved my *** big time, I probably would'nt be here if I did'nt have a good controller helping me one day. I always wanted to buy that guy a pitcher or 4 of beer. Nonetheless I saw this clip months ago and I still love to listen to it over and over.

I thought this video is funny. Looks just like what goes on in my airplane.

Reminds me of my private instructor was ex navy and a ex FAA inspector, what a fun guy to fly with. People always asked me where I learned to fly. This guy was the type that had his gloves in the "glove box" 1000 ft pulled them out and said "your holding the controls to hard I will break your ******* hands loosen up". I learned alot from him. I hated him for a while but now I look back and like him. RIP.
