I was told to loose my log book once. He then told me to find it and come back with a thousand hours of ag time. I guess I'm one lazy SOB. Do you know how long it would take to write a thousand hours with three or four different N-numbers in three hour flights?

Hey, you gotta put in the time just like everyone else had to.

I think you've just stumbled on the secret to getting past that "You gotta have 1000 hours ag time to get hired anywhere doing ag work" problem ;)

Yeah, maybe so but I did it another way. Boss ask me if I had over a thousand hours, to which I answered yes. I didn't lie. He ask a specific question, I gave him a specific answer. He didn't ask to see any records, I didn't offer to show any. I knew my way around a load ramp. I had a few hours in a cessna with a wag flager. The rest is history, a short one at that. My old desk paid 22hr, my new seat paid 80hr. I flew 7hr that first month. I sure was glad to be back at my old desk.
