Does anyone know the usual procedure for getting a second interview if the first one doesn't go quite as planned?

I had an interview with a regional that went good, but not good enough (got the thanks, but no thanks letter). This regional allows you to reapply in 6 months.

Does a person usually have to have someone drop a resume off another time for them, or will a call to HR or the chief pilot do the trick? Thanks.

A follow up letter after any interview can be helpful. It should thank the interviewer for their time as well as highlight your strong points one more time.

Some people suggest that if you don't feel the interview went as well as you think it could have, explicitly state that in the follow-up letter. Mention that you were nervous and such things, but that you feel you are a worthy candidate.

There are examples of these on the internet. Just do a goggle search for resumes, interviews, cover letters, or something along those lines.

Hope that helps. Good luck!

I agree with you on that. I send a thank you letter after every interview...I usually send it the moment I get home from an interview. This is just good professional ethics and insures that you really cared about being there and want to work there.
