TopGun is a great (if cheesy) flick. Great flying scenes...good corny quotes, and Kelly McGillis looked great.

That being said, if someone quoted TopGun in the cockpit, I think I am required by our Flight Ops Manual, the POH, 14 CFAR Part 121, and sense of good taste...

To whack 'em upside the head with the QRH.

Anytime someone quotes Top Gun in my cockpit I roll my eyes at them and tell 'em to shut the *@#k up. Of course, I believe the underlying reason is my insecurity in the fact I know EVERY SINGLE LINE from that movie myself....

Just kidding, gang. The flight scenes are great, and otherwise it's probably the best military recruitment/Kawasaki Ninja commerical ever produced.

Personally, I find myself quoting a lot of Coen Brothers movies (Raising Arizona, Big Lebowski, O'Brother...). Since most of the guys I fly with haven't seen these flicks, they just end up thinking I'm a freak. Okay, not too far off the mark, I guess....
