With the Majors at a stand still - infact a backward motion-flowing down to the Regional Airlines- and no look in the near future of bringing furloughs back to the Majors - (6-7 years to pull all Furloughs back imho) - You will have some retirements- but very little movement if at all at United-American- Delta- Northwest - Continental-US Airways- Alaska- America West- -- And an increase in Regional Jets at ASA-ACA-COEX-Comair-etc. - The regionals will be hiring - But it will be very competitive- wages are increasing at the regionals - they are now starting to get retirement plans- and are flying better routes all thru the U.S. Canada and Mexico- Many Military Pilots are now looking at the regionals for jobs - the majors are not hiring- Furloughed pilots from United and US Airways are also looking for jobs - not knowing if they will ever return to thier airlines-- What do you think a competitve number of flight hours and equipment will be?? - Do you believe that pay for training will rear its ugly head? There will no longer be 400 hour flight instructors being hired into the Regionals- Where will the bar be placed?--- Max
