Well Oil hit's 105.00 a barrel today, Futures are going way up. Libya is falling as we know it, Gadaffii is headed to Argentina, Yemen is still underwater, King Abdula has been told to step down....and now local tribes that pump libya's oil have stopped pumping.....Not to mention we have stopped drilling in the Gulf, the deep sea rigs have moved south to Argentina, Drilling leases are not being re-upped in several states and we import 80% of our oil.....Canada has become our largest importer but thats only 25%.....

Do ya think this will hurt the fracs business and stop the limited growth we are starting to see? I thnk these folks will just not fly as much once again.....Thoughts

Where are you getting this stuff from? Oil was $95.00 a few minutes ago.

If it slows the economy it will hurt us....

But I don't think people will stop flying if fuel prices go up. I would guess the income of our pax is about 100 times what mine is ... When gas goes up $1, to them it must feel like what gas going up a penny feels like to me ...

Don't think frac flying slowed much when fuel prices went up before ... it was when the economy tanked and the stock market crashed that our flying took a hit....

YES!!!!! If it keeps going up, it WILL hurt the Frac business. Plan accordingly and hope it doesn't last long.

The oil prices rising now is good for us, as it will encourage us to kick our foreign oil addiction sooner rather than later. Prices WILL be going up, down the road, and DRASTICALLY. The sooner we stop using oil as a major transportation fuel, the better. That is THE main reason the AF and DOD are trying to wean themselves from oil ASAP. The AF goal is 50% non-oil based jet fuel for ALL domestic flying by 2016!!!

Gadaffii is headed to Argentina

I was just in Buenos Aires Saturday... He's not there.

Who knows? Oil is oil, its not the ultimate dictator of the world economies. Now, a nuke going off in NYC, Paris, London? Yeah... that will have a bigger effect than crude hitting $150/barrel.

It will have an effect. I remember X owners going to the Sovereign because it burned less fuel. They do have an appreciation for fuel costs but to what extent and what their breaking point is I cannot comment intelligently.
