I'm relatively young, but I've been doing this long enough to know that some will get stuck- best example are the glut of various rj fo's that got stuck on FO pay bc al negotiating capital was spent on capt rates bc no one spent longer than a year or two as an FO.....:-/
+1 on the comments above- I would leave any regional for usair- I find no long term security at any regional- and I do praise AAA pilots for getting the aircraft onto the mainline side of things-
No dog in the east/west fight, but think the stand is financially dumb and puts downward pressure on all pilot wages-
As a swa guy, I hate their airbus wages, where our FO's far out earn their captains-
RAH is as underpaid as any regional- republic's negotiating ability is tripped up by us air's 190 rates- so is jetblu's-
They will get higher rates as soon as they stop this silly fight-
Just pointing out that the actions of every pilot group affect every other one
