HEAVY DAYS: 65 LB rucksack run ( 7 to 12 miles).

LIGHT DAYS: 5 mile run.

700 reps for abs on "in between" days.

I take a day off every now and then...

Holy sh!t dude! You are WAY too intense on yourself.

I walk 3-4 days a week for about an hour with my girlfriend. Not only does it keep us slim, but I can actually catch up on things and hang out while we walk.

Naw... that workout is what's left of my special forces days. Old habits die hard, and I retired 3 years ago! :)

Eat well...
Stay fit...
DIE ANYWAY!!!!

That being said, a good barbell routine for the upper body and 20 minutes exercycle or 45 min brisk walking three to four times a week (and a liberal application of red wine for the cholesteral) is all you need.

But, you have to make the time to go, that's the hardest part!

I have a strick regimen of horizontal exercise every night. It helps to keep my girlfriend and myself slim. I supplement this by lifting weights 4 days a week, and of course all of my outdoor activites. Surfing, kitesurfing, spearfishing, rowing, and sometimes more horizontal exercise on the beach. :D

I run a mile, lift wieghts for 10 minutes, and then play a sport for 90 minutes every day in school for gym. In the summer I run a mile a day with my dad and walk around the airport, Martin State, it's pretty big with almost no security, on the days I do fly, we're go there for 10 hours so I need something to do.:p

Hey,
I'm part of Bally's. I exercise religiously when I'm off. However, how do you exercise when you are working? First, when you are in another city, don't you need to get a rental car or taxi to go the nearest gym? Also, what you do if you've flown many legs in one day and come in late at night?
I'm kind of new to all this stuff, so input would be really valuable.

i do 12oz curls... and occasionally, when i am in the mood they are 40oz curls:cool:

I'm with HAZ-MAT. Add 1 1/2 oz to the curlling list for best results.
Horizontal with the wife, 4-5 times a week for Ab definition. Cardio by chasing the three little ones around on days off.

I lift 4 days a week, cardio one or two. For a while, in late college and just after, I was on a very regimented program. Started working out with a pal who wanted to compete in local events so I was eating like a horse and my normal 185lbs went up to 208. I had to stop because of military weight standards that would soon come into play. Still I liked that feeling of being in shape, it sure made the long work days go easier and with more energy. So I toned down quite a bit and lift 1 hour or so and do 20 min cardio. Good enough to keep the beer gut off and stay at an even 200lbs, don't want to look like Arnold anyway.

3x a week weight training. For the 1st time I am doping this w/o interruption for over a year and I have no desire to stop. I normally do some short, somewhat intense 12-14 min runs on the treadmill but right now I am happy if I can get done in 1.5h with the weights and still make it to work on time. I am definitely planning on doing more but you do need some regularity in your life for this.

And we have no kids at this point. I have no clue how I am going to include the gym time when we will start to populate our family.
