I lift 4 days a week, cardio one or two. For a while, in late college and just after, I was on a very regimented program. Started working out with a pal who wanted to compete in local events so I was eating like a horse and my normal 185lbs went up to 208. I had to stop because of military weight standards that would soon come into play. Still I liked that feeling of being in shape, it sure made the long work days go easier and with more energy. So I toned down quite a bit and lift 1 hour or so and do 20 min cardio. Good enough to keep the beer gut off and stay at an even 200lbs, don't want to look like Arnold anyway.

3x a week weight training. For the 1st time I am doping this w/o interruption for over a year and I have no desire to stop. I normally do some short, somewhat intense 12-14 min runs on the treadmill but right now I am happy if I can get done in 1.5h with the weights and still make it to work on time. I am definitely planning on doing more but you do need some regularity in your life for this.

And we have no kids at this point. I have no clue how I am going to include the gym time when we will start to populate our family.
