How many examples can you think of?

am looking for more examples of high wing, twin turbine, aircraft.

Looking to buy for EMS ops in Africa. Myself can think of turbine islander, aero commander, twotter, piaggio albatros......anybody know of any others?

I'd go with the twin Otter. A company in British Columbia, Canada has purchaed the original jigs and will resume production, making replacement parts less of a problem.

What are your needs?
If you want to go high and fast a Mu-2 or a 690 commander might be good, but a twotter wouldn't. On the other hand if short, rough strip capability and load carrying are more important the twotter would be much better than the Mu-2.

needs are:
high wing, must be able to handle dirt strips/gravel, fast 180kts plus, prefer pressurized

we do road landings near accidents on dirt roads, farmhouses etc, also into proper airports with appr lights etc, all long distance flights, +/- 300nm or longer return.

oh yeah....and it must be cheap

Try the LET.
Good a/c for the money if operating in Euro or Africa and support can be easier to obtain. Fast enough for the mission and can carry a load from shorter unimproved runways.
The ATR42 is also a good a/c for the mission. You won't have any problem getting support for that one either.

Turbine Aero Commander is a good example of a high-wing turboprop.

MU2 is a great airplane. Flew them a few years ago. Fast but semi dangerous if your not on the game.

SD3- Shorts 330/360
Old high wing roomy airplane but absoulutly no speed what soever. Flew one a few times. 180kts at 12000.

ATR42/72 dont know but see them alot. Probably good plane

Turbo Commander. anything with a tpe331-10 will work for speed and altitude. Demo'd one in PIA. Fun plane.

DCH8-400 Hell yeah, hook me up. Horizon pilots that fly these gotta love them. Seen a few flying around. Sweet airplane.

DCH7 old 4 engine turbine. probably expensive as hell. no expierience.

cant think of anyothers.

I think the Do228 or the let would be the best for your kind of work.
they are comparable in size to a king air90 / 200.
Nomad as mentioned before was used in Australia for the flying Doctors

The Shorts SD-360 is great for what you want. I think they're cheap to own and operate and can fly with loads of ice all over it. When Mesa had them, the break-even point for some routes was 4 to 6 passengers. It's also very roomy, so there's flexibility with how you want to configure the interior for different missions.

The drawbacks are that the plane is butt-ugly and slow (barber pole around 190?).

but I think some types are a bit big . AN24/26 & ATR42.....we mostly onle take one patient at a time, with one family member. Sometimes there are two patients, but not often.

Thus I think the Do228, Let410, twottter (a bit slow though) are good examples.

Shorts was bought by Bombardier in Oct 89 and I can't find any current company website that talks about them.

The Do-228 is pretty comparable to Twin Otters in terms of short/bumpy fields from what I've seen. I've seen them consistently outperform Twin Otters (both loaded full) in the himalayas for years (Lukla is served by DHC-6s, 228s, and helicopters).

I've always thought that the 228 would be a blast to fly in the bush, after seeing them perform well at some really amazing airports (I've even seen one at Syanboche--highest airstrip in the world).

As far as I know Shorts doesn't exist anymore.
There is also something Chinese, I believe a Harbin Y-12, but it might be an An12 or 24 under license.
