I was really hoping for a SWA interview. Any idea about how long it will be until they start it back up?

My bff was just hired there, and is getting her type next month. How long wil she be swimming in the pool?

TIA

They will interview in August, and I think that's it for the remainder of the year. Those that were just in this last DB, won't see training dates until Jan or Feb of 08.

I think they will be interviewing at the worst case, sometime after the first of next year. We're not really loaded with a lot of retirements for next year(I'm new, but I think it is about 150). Even if Age 65 kicks in, they'll still have to interview to fill classes for the net aircraft next year. The longer age 65 holds out; the more classes SWA will have.

I agree.

With all the retirements, CAL could be the most secure major out there. Also, there is a good chance that CAL will be the highest paid eventually with a new contract.

I hope to be there soon.

Did you just say BFF

Yes, sorry. It stands for Best Friend Forever. Just a little abbreviation.

So, I guess that the SWA pool will be full for a while. Not good. We were all hoping to get over this year.

Damn....you beat me to it. And seriously...why just the airbrushed horses avatar??? You could at least go all they way with some unicorns or something.

******************** I spilt my beer from laughing so hard, thanks!

ROFLMFAO!!!

Oh God, I can't stop laughing.....

How old ARE you anyway...?

Scrapdog, you should also copy her post from where she later flamed CAL when she got shot down saying they suck.

Now Pokey's nibbling at SWA? You gonna flame them, too, if you don't get the interview or the job? What about if your "BFF" doesn't get it?

Hell, I thought BFF stood for something related to your *ahem* partner preference, but if I posted that acronym definition, I'd likely get a Flightinfo vacation. ;)

BFF? Um don't tell me, lemme guess;

Big Flabby Female? No, that's the flight attendant forum.

Botswana Flight on Friday? No, that's the freight dog forum.

Baguettes From France? No, that's the General's International thread.

Beg For Food? No, that's the regional forum,

Damn, I give up, what is it?

Pretty funny guys.

I guess it bothers you pretty bad to learn that you don't have to be an old, grey haired, white male to fly airplanes anymore.

You guys always crack me up with your jeans, black socks, and white tennis shoes on the overnights. LOL

Get with the program! LOL

Apparently, I'm an "old, grey haired white male." Or not. Anyway, what does "LOL" mean? Pocono, you're obviously far more up to date on these cosmic modern acronyms, please help me out!

I'll give you two tickets to the next Hillary Duff concert (one for you and one for your BFF) if you never post here again. If it's OK with your parents.

Um, Pocono?

Can you post some pictures of you, and your BFF?

You know, maybe hugging, or tickling each other, or something?

:)
