How do I become a pilot in the ANG?

What I meant by that is that instead of doing it the easy way and asking for it, he could search it.

Now everyone that stumbles on this thread can have access to all the contacts and flood the market.

These forums were enormously helpful as I went through the application process. I don't mind paying it forward to save these guys some legwork.

Trying the ANG web site is a good place to start. You may also want to try www.baseops.net, and click on the aviation jobs link. When I transferred from active duty to the guard that was where I found the unit I joined. The key to being selected for a guard job is contacting the unit and letting them get to know you. It's a bit like trying to join a fraternity. Your flying experience definitely won't hurt you, but it's not the most important factor. Good luck!
