UPS brethren....I've seen some info on other threads, but was wondering if the UPS guys think they are going to be released to self help anytime soon? Just curious, haven't seen much in the media. Any progress? I support you guys!

Probably not. Even though the union is publically saying the end is near, privately I have been told this could last a lot longer. We'll just have to wait and see. And let me say that nobody saw the mediator reject the request for release as quickly as they did. That alone may tell you something.

Everyone expected the request to be denied. Now that the cat is out of the bag there is more pressure on the NMB and UPS. UPS admits that they have not given a "last, best, and final offer" and still has room to negotiate. The biggest issue is scope. With all the growth in India and China we want to ensure that American pilots are flying for UPS and not Asians.

Ahh, scope raises it's ugly head once again. Wish you guys the best, and hope it works out for you better than it did for us at Eagle!
