Wait a minute...

The interests of regional airline pilots don't seem to be in the minds of the guys negotiating the merger at NW/DAL. Also, the interests of the regional guys aren't in the minds of the guys at the Legacies when it's time to discuss 50 seat RJs.

Why is it 'combating union brothers' when a regional pilot is attempting democratically further their positions?

I don't think that you can make a valid argument that ALPA is doing as much for the regional guys as they are for the Legacy guys. Somone prove me wrong here, but I just don't see it.

Sure. Why have the mainline MECs allowed there to be so many regionals? I've heard the sentiment from many a mainline guy that the regionals were too expensive, and that costs could be cut by RFP/whipsawing the regionals against each other. Why did the mainline MECs allow this?

Good question.....You are expected to allow yourself to run over.....You are owned by the bulldozer driver......Time for that to change.....

That is true....There is testimony from the lawsuit that proves that mainline MECs conspired with management to lower regional costs so that there was more money left over for mainline.....

Mainline MECs and management BOTH wanted to lower regional costs.....So much for "brotherhood"......
