Thanks for all the nice answers/info...In case you wonder allready work for someone and have for past 5 years...Just checking commuting/living options...

Commuting on CAL sucks. They are always very full and you will fight for the seat. I have had problems from florida and atlanta to houston.

former Jax-iah now jax-lax commuter.

I did ATL-IAH-ATL for 6 months on CAL, and it was a PITA. Luckilly CAL operated almost all 737-500s there, and they have 2 js. I think in 6 months I rode in the back 3 times, and about half the time both jumpseats were occupied. It was doable, but it was a PITA.

It is worth the drive to HOU. I'm out of the north Houston area, and did Hobby every week for over a year. AT and DL do a good job out of there and their gates are next to eachother. The loads are not near as heavy as IAH. Earliest departures out of Houston (0545) and lastest departure out of ATL (1100 PM) is to HOU. Not only that, parking is 20 bucks cheaper everymonth at Hobby.

Greasy side down
