Hotels in Honolulu with crew discount

Does anyone have any recommendations on a nice hotel in Honolulu? My number one priority is a nice pool, followed closely by an airline discount.

I've called Hilton and Sheraton, seems around $140-250 per night. Any other recs?

Actually, that's probably one of the best deals around if you're not kama'aina. When they were fumigating my house, we stayed at Sheraton Waikiki for $95/night ocean view (upgrade). That was kama'aina price. $140 is the airline rate. Regular rate is over $200/night at those places.

At Sheraton, you'll have pool, beach, and walking distance everywhere in Waikiki.

I remember the Marriott crew rate was under $100 but that was last year.

not great places to stay...clean and convenient though....the outrigger's ohana properties. airline discounts around $50 or $55 a night. stayed many a night there while commuting. all the properties are in downtown wackywacky and you can use the outrigger pools with your keys!

I have referred people to Aston before, and I think they have a good interline deal. You might give them a call and see what they have going.

Waikiki Edgewater

I have stayed at one of the Ohana Hotels on Waikiki a couple of times. It is the Edgewater by Fort DeRussy.

I have paid between $50-60 per night. On one visit, I had an efficiency for $60.00.

A lot of Northwest Airlines crew members would use the place as a crash pad. The decor is early 1960's but who cares. You are a block from the beach and can use the other Ohana Hotels ammenities. There is a four star Outrigger next door that your room key will get the use of their facilities. I would stay there again myself.

Ohana is the way to go if you're just looking for a crash pad and nothing fancy. I believe that Outrigger/Ohana will even let you cancel your reservation at the last minute if you're an airline employee and don't make it.

If you're really adventurous, just pitch a tent on Makaha Beach. Now that the Bus is back up and running, you'll be living the good life: free lodging and maybe some of the locals will feed you too.

On second thought, that might not be such a good idea.
