#1. East pilot pay will reset to fully restored levels as soon as their letter of agreement on pay cuts expires... USAPA is already suing. Doug Parker supposedly said he would have never bought US Air if he had have known this.

#2. USAPA is suing the PBGC and Management. Both claim to have no record of the East pilots former pensions. The company says it was lost in the acquisition of East. The goal is to take their 30k annual pensions and turn them into 80k annual pensions.

Mean while East is taking delivery 18 a321s and 2 a320s. How many a330s do they still have coming?

Pretty funny sh!t right there! Ain't happenin - no matter what APASU says..........

Hell, look at their track record so far!

Sue away - at least She-man is gonna have a good Christmas!

False

True

He would have merged with airways regardless. Both of your two airlines needed each other, like it or not. Neither one was viable without the other. The sooner both groups realize that the quicker they will figure all their bullsh!t out.

The merger had nothing to do with quaint notions like long-term viability or the wellfare of customers or employees. It was designed to line the pockets of a select few for the short-term without regard to the consequences. Anyone with a cursory understanding of airline economics could see that the usair cost structure would swallow and consume the America West franchise and merely extend by a few years the doomed existence of the same bloated, dying airline that was on the brink of extinction in 2005. Nobody "needed" usair.

America West was hiring and expanding prior to the aquisition. us air was on the brink of liquidation.

Parker just tells some people what they want to hear to advance his objectives.

FYI....BS was figured out via final and binding arbitration. DONE. Regarding AWA needing a merge partner...that MAY be true (only as evidenced by Parker's statements, but not confirmed by industry analysts during the arbitration hearings), BUT US Air was days away from complete and total liquidation.

We out in the west are simply fighting for what has been legally adjudicated. PERIOD. We will not give up and roll over. PERIOD.

If you care enough to make your commentary, perhaps you would care to take the time to read the arbitration transcripts and the DFR transcripts prior to giving us your informed opinion.
