I only saw U upclose for a year, but during that I saw them as one of the worst run organizations I've seen.

I was a TWA kid...and on our worst day we were a model of Teutonic efficeincy compared to U.

Management featherbedding was rampant. Three different WO regionals, two of which flew the SAME aircraft over the SAME routes! Also, no one ever saw that WN was the enemy...who ran them out of hub after hub. But the East Coast mentality (who cares about SFO or MCI) meant that those failures were seen as some kind of victory.
