HootersAir downsizing the MYR base???

Does anyone know what’s going on with HootersAir? Heard some rumors about their MYR base downsizing/closing??? I truly hope this is just a false alarm and that they’ll keep growing.


Ps. I know HootersAir is not a “major” airline but they aren’t a regional carrier either - they have scheduled service and also lots of charter service. Wasn't sure in which forum to post this question?

Just saw a freind today that is a Pace (hooters) 737 Capt. Seems like the owner is tired of "playing with airplanes" and wants to downsize. He is pretty senior but he said they furloughed the bottom 20.

He didn't mention anything about the Pace non-hooter charter and vacation express and other 757 flying.

What, so everybody can boast about all the flying they are doing for Apple Vacations ie.USA 3000. If it wasn't for our stupid rainbow Brit of a CEO we would have another 10 airplanes on the property.

shutting myrtle down for winter....knee jerk management.....should reopen in march....... did hear from maintenance, who knows more than we do.... returning 3 737-300s on lease...looking for three replacement power by the hour birds....

I have heard in the last week that Pace is encountering some serious financial problems. I wonder what would happen to the Dallas Mavs B757 if they shut down and left the Mavs without a certificate to ride on.

We train young men to drop fire on people. But their commanders won't allow them to write "goe- jets" on their aeroplane because it's obscene...the horror...the horror.
