If I am going to do the high alt in a sim can I bring any CFI that has there high altitude or do they have to be a ATP?
 
I had brought this up in CFI ground the other day.

If you do your high altitude in a twin, can you do it with a guy that isn't an MEI? I figured yes since the endorsement isn't twin specific, but I was told no because of "class and category" bla bla...

I was told your instructor has to have a beer in hand, and it cannot be spilled on the way down.

"Authorized Instructor", mini, those are the key words. You will notice all of the training requirements use the term "Authorized Instructor" which means having all of the qualifications for the kind of instruction being given, which includes category, class, instruments, endorsements, etc.
