Hey, I just wanted to tell you that I heard today in the ATL Chief Pilot's Office that the company has contacted Dalpa and wants to negotiate again. (Or try to) We have had an open door for awhile, and the company hadn't responded until now. I hope something gets done. I know paycuts are coming up, it is just how much now. I personally think it will be about 20% total (15% plus the 4.5% May raise) or maybe a tad bit more. (maybe 22%) I think there might be a tweak in the productivity, but that would be tied in with eventual recalls---or so I was told by MEC members. I hope it goes well, but we better not be the only ones taking cuts ---(management cuts too).

Sound's like you're Gerald doesn't want to let AA's Gerald get too far ahead.

All kidding aside, that's great news. Just sitting down and talking is what it's all about. The common thread of success should be enough to get a great company back on track. Let's hope some old and new ideas are put on the table and discussed with an open mind.

Who knows, maybe ERJ will start moving again.

I also hope for a break in the stalemate. I imagine two "kids" sitting in a room with their arms crossed, defiance in their faces, and one says to the other, "He started it." "Did not." "Did, too." Blah Blah Blah. Someone has to be the adult / bigger man and begin the road back to a working relationship.
