I'm an AA pilot who want's to leave. I know of course I'm not the only one! I hear that Fedex is not hiring furloughs as a policy and therefore why would they hire anyone that still has a job? I am more than willing to resign my seniority number if I were to be hired at Fedex. Any constructive guidance on how to go about getting an interview would be appreciated. thanks.

two in my class. not furloughed.

Unless you know an executive at FedEx, probably the only way you'll get an interview is to get a job as a FedEx employee and wait to apply as an internal. The CP has stated that those currently employed by a major have had their shot flying for the big boys for now and this is not the time to interview them. Things can change at any time, so it never hurts to apply. Sorry to be the bearer of not great news. FedEx has paid in the past for free agents returning to their home teams and the CP is interested in fairness for those waiting on employment with their first major.

This probably isn't what you want to hear but if you want an honest answer...save your $50.00. There are too many other qualified applicant that FedEx can choose from AND not worry about leaving later down the road. Sorry.

That is good to know. I was thinking that SWA had the same policy at FedEx as far as current major airline employment goes. Tell them down in the PD I am ready anytime they are...

If I leave AA I ain't goin back as I will cash out my B Fund and rollover my 401K to whoever is lucky enough to get me!

Too bad about FedEx; I got 2K of 727 and DC-10 FE time. I am working my connections over there but I am getting the same answer. It's a different world now than in the 90's.
