What is the website that has a database of cost of operation of various aircraft?- it is owner input actual cost info.

I would be interested in that as well. I searched a handful of search engines looking for something like that but was never able to find anything. Anybody got any leads?

that's pretty close, is there a website for light GA aircraft? Piston singles and twins?

www.planequest.com

Click on "Operating Costs" on the left.

These figures will get you close to the actual cost. The best thing to do is do some of your own research for prices in your area (engine overhaul, prop, fuel, hangar, insurance, etc). Create the spreadsheet so all you have to do is type in how many hours/year you plan to fly, then bingo....

planequest.com . Yes thats it. Thanks very much. I was out of town when I posted the question and trying to help my brother in law out with some info. He and his sales people travel alot and he is thinking about buying a Piper Chieftain or Navajo. Anyone have any direct experience with the feeding and care of one of these? Thanks

Some of those figures are totally inaccurate though. For example, you're just not going to get 4gal/hr out of a C150. And I don't know about you guys, but 100LL in these parts isn't anywhere close to $2.20/gal. Like I said, the best thing is to use this as a guide for things you need to pay for. All you have to do is insert the your local area costs and youre on your way...
