There is no reason that a helicopter cannot dive. You push it over from level flight and there you have it. You can get into trouble quite easily when your rate of descent cannot be arrested with the power available (as can often happen at high gross weights, high temperature, high altitude).

The basic aerodynamic priciples still apply to helicopters .... thier wings just go 'round and 'round.
