The health insurance plan I've had throughout college has lapsed and a few days ago when I went to a company to get a new provider, they said
they do not allow pilots. They then tried to find insurers who do, and could not find one.

Just wondering what other time-building pilots, or those who use to be,
did in terms of finding a provider. Benefits are probably great, but when you're busting your butt just to get a job that has them, what do you do before that time?

Thanks so much for any info. Guess I'll just have to watch my step until then.

You single, in pretty good health, then just look for a catastrophic medical policy. These have high deductibles, and are intended for major problems only.

There are many out there that'll cover pilots. Back when I was looking to take the plunge, I found a pretty good full coverage plan for my family. I believe it was a package offered by Unicare. These vary by state.

Want to roll the dice and possibly be a drain on society, then do nothing and rely on the country hospital systems.
