Headset question

Ive been thinking about buying a Telex headset (earmold and all) instead of using the ones on the planes (750's I think). Anyone have a preference on if its worth buying my own. Pros or cons.....

Got that urge to go buy somthing..... Any thoughts

Telex 850s

I use a Telex 850 in CRJ 200. I really like it.

I just bought the Telex 5x5....a little spendy with the mold and all.... bout 240 total... I looked on e bay for a bit.. but they all were going for about 150..

The 750 gets pretty old.. 'Head clamp' ... I really liked the earmold on the 9 and missed it when I moved to the 717.

Long story short.. after I got over the initial sting.. I really like it and glad bit the bullet!!.. no missed calls... (well.. almost) Depends on the story at the time....

The only downside is the mic seems to float around a bit. The bar sometimes will not stay firm on the earmold. A little re rigging outa take care of her though..... And the cord is a bit too heavy duty.. I wish it was more like the PEV..... Good Luck.... See on the line.... or at Popeyes...
