Hi HAL huys/gals....looking for recalled pilot, Ray R. Please pm me so I can give full name....don't want to post name in open. He was AIA. Thanks - Baja.

I was hired a month before sept 11! Great timing..I was told that 8 guys were hired and waiting for class when osama pulled his little stunt. Everyone thought i was crazy for wanting hawaiian, but to me that was the dream job. I just took a job with net jets and i will be based at home in san diego. If hawaiian calls i don't think i will take it at this point. You can have my spot! Good luck.

I was`in the same situation at the same time, and was finally going home (Hilo!) after 17 years, 'til those lolos hit the WTC. I'm in MIA, in training again, after another aviation hiccup.

Didn't know where else to post this. For any HAL guys. I was on a HNL-SEA flight last week when the Capt. made his announcement, he added 3 TSA rules he said he was required to inform the cabin. 1, no lines for the Lua 2, no loitering in the galleys and 3, no coach pax is to use the first class lua. I can't seem to find these rules on the TSA site. Is this a HAL Ops thing or was the Capt just stating it as so?

Great flight!
Usually standard for Intl flights, but I have heard it used for flts over deep water. Not required for dom flts though. It is a TSA SD (security directive).
