Yeah I've gotten it there too, in and out of PDK and FTY
 
Was observing on a pc 12 flight going into SAN and heard the controller give that "please call ***-***-**** " and found out that he got a 250 knot warning for doing 260 ground speed....
turn out the 12 driver was only at 230 kias ...so the supervisor got involved and it all went away...and the supervisor stated the controller was fresh off the farm
 
SoCal controllers get on you about doing 200kias under the LAX airspace coming up from the south around the SNA area - I've heard a lot guys get a slap on the wrist for it, but never violated.

HMR - As far as that chief pilot, his philosophy is "Barber pole is not a limit, it's a goal."
