Nice, you know I'm not allowed to come back yet you continue to rub it in.

Some friend you are.
Jeez, I hope you're kidding!

We're no closer to Q400s than we were when you left; the only thing that's changed is our pay has gone down, most of the domiciles closed, and the health insurance got more expensive. Believe me, you're not missing out on a thing!

Well, except for this. It's the same as when you left, only uglier. It makes that CRJ with the "peach" on the tail look downright elegant. :D

(In other words, it was a joke about how our airline has done nothing but shrink; I wasn't trying to rub anything in, I assure you. Simply laughing at my own [lack of] career progression.)

I'm just kidding! I put the little winking smiley on the top of the post but it's easy to miss.

I'll come back after I turn in my winning MegaMillions ticket just so I can keep flying. Then again, if I'm looking for a "lifestyle" job I don't think flying around New England (or Cleveland! :puke: ) will fit the bill. Maybe I'll go fly the 1900D Heavy at Gulfstream so I can stay down south.

We taxied out ahead of one of your planes in CLE the other day and I briefly considered asking them about may favorite Commutair Lifer Captain, but I chose not to because I didn't want to be "that guy" jabbering away on Ground. I did, however, see a female pilot walking through the terminal in full uniform and white sneakers. Is she one of yours?

I figured you were kidding, but it's hard to read people sometimes on here...:0

If you hear him, just say "dou che." We'll all know instantly who you're talking about; he hasn't changed a bit. :D

Rumor has it he got a CAL interview, but it was canceled after word circulated around the ramp agents here, to whom he has been nothing but a total bastard. Apparently they called HR. Nice! Heh. What goes around, comes around!

Wow! Not that I know of, but nothing surprises me anymore. Our "uniforms" are anything but, as I'm sure you know, and it's only gotten worse. I haven't seen one with white sneakers yet, but there is one (an ex-CoEx'er) who wears one of those little purse-backpack things all the time, last I heard. Makes me laugh every time I see it.

Unless our certificate is surrendered and we are completely out of business it IS still truck work, and there is an argument that it would continue to be struck work. That is like saying that if the UAW workers struck, and the company fired them, that the replacement workers would not be performing struck work. But you go right ahead and fly it, lets see how many airlines offer you a job when CMR goes under.

Unfortunately, a lot of airlines would offer him jobs. There is no consequence for any thing any more. ALPA saw to that with CAL.

. He also took a large bonus then lied about it in front of a recurrent ground class and while doing so is asking some of us to take pay cuts. Has anybody realized that with a 13.5% pay cut he is asking our first year FO’s to fly for $14,500 a year?

We should tell Jerry Atkins we want a new clown, our clown stinks!

What you posted here is misinforamation. First, the initial reports on this board, and everywhere else for that matter, about his bonus were incorrect. What he received was the right to stock options, much like the stock incentive program that we can participate in. He must purchase the stock, only he has to retain it for several years before he can sell it. He WAS NOT given hundreds of thousands of dollars in stock. So what he was saying to correct the misinformation was true.

SECOND, the paycuts they are asking from FO's only applies to 2nd year and higher 70 seat FO's and would simply create one FO pay scale for all aircraft. They ARE NOT asking for a 13.5% cut across the board for FO's.

With all that being said, I also voted yes on for the strike and would love nothing more than to see JA get rid of Le Bonehead and most of the crystal palace for that matter. If they want to change moral around here, quit trying to squeeze money out of our pockets to line there pockets, give us a reasonable contract, get rid of the useless mgmt, and moral, performance...etc...will improve here at ASA.

Ya, let's just quit and go from HAVING MONEY....to having NO MONEY!! Health insurance to having NO HEALTH INSURANCE. Jesus, don't you get that man??

Not to defend atlcrj, because I pretty much disagree with everything he says, but this is kinda funny. So you have health insurance, and money to feed you and your family, and flight benefits, and i am assuming you still somewhat enjoy flying airplanes (though I know you don't "wet yourself" anymore when seeing an RJ).

I guess my point is its not all "that" bad and that, like atlcrj is saying, don't get so caught up in all the crap with mgmt and the contract, that it ruins your day. You have what you need, you said it yourself..sure, we want and deserve more, but don't let that wanting more destroy your life now by stressing you out. Just live, fight for what you deserve, but at the end of the day, be thankful for what you have and sleep well at night.

Just some advice.

$14,500 is almost exactly what my W2 showed for 11 months of work last year. I actually took a pay cut from unempoyment bennies when I started working at ASA.

My GOD son! Paperboys make more than that! When are airline pilots gonna say enough?

Step number 1: Black list those $80,000 flight "academy" kids who want your seat. Make sure they'll never see another union job. Remember, you not doing it to punish them, you're actually helping them. Maybe they'll think first before flying airliners for $14,500 a year.

Step 2: Don't show up to work tomorrow. After all, you made more on unemployment.
