Looking to poll the regionals/majors on wearing the hat on the ramp.

Do any carriers have written hat policies allowing crewmembers the option not to wear hats on the ramp? i.e. because of safety & FOD

Hats are optional at SWA, but it's not because of FOD on the ramp

This might explain what I saw about a week ago down in Orlando. Was leaving the hotel going to lunch and a Gulfstream kid was checking in at the front desk with his hat and Rayban Aviators still glued to his head. Still was wearing them both as he was walking down the dark hallway towards the elevator. Must have been afraid of being fired...

I wanted to ask if the company paid for his hotel yet..
