"What would you say to a pax who complained to you after the flight that you made a terrible landing?"

Tell them the last time you looked at your paycheck stub, there wasn't a column labeled "GOOD LANDINGS."

or

Ask them if they have ever driven their car using their knees. When they say yes, say, "Well I was trying to land the plane that way."

"What would you say to a pax who complained to you after the flight that you made a terrible landing?"

That was the only way to wake up the FO.

I'd tell them thank you for flying American Eagle, welcome to Puerto Rico, and a bus will be along shortly to take them to the terminal.

And everyone else can go back to the original post.....B. F'n E what's the story....you flippin' out man??

I would not allow this guy to get under your skin He is probably just a tad p!ssed off that with over 6000 hours TT, a "bought job", he is stuck and he ain't goin anywhere anytime soon. Take his comments at face value. Most of the Mesa guys I know get a kick out of guys like this.

Ben, would it make you feel any better knowing that many Mesa guys in recent times have went to AWA, ATA, AirTran, SWA, JB, etc ?? (they moved on)

bye bye

Ben,
You are a regional pilot. The more Jets Coex has the less mainline jets there are. You are flying for less money than them and most other regionals I might add. I know it's an old contract; so is CHQ's and Mesa's. ( Comming up on a year). Tell me the RJ's with the winglets are not doing mainline routes. Do the pilots a coex make mainline rates on those routes? SCAB! Scatch that scab comment. That is something you would say. Your not a Scab; your just a bitter Dumba$$.

350 Driver,
Just so you know, XJT pilots are moving on as well, AWA, ATA, SWA, JB ect.
From some one else who "bought" their job.

Just got asked this on a interview,

"What would you say to a pax who complained to you after the flight that you made a terrible landing?"

What's the best answer for this from all the Captains who have been around the block a few times.

Pi$$ Off!

"bought job"...

...SWA

So paying Flight Safety for an SIC letter in the BE-1900, E-120 or ATR-42 makes me a scab, but paying Flight Safety for a B-737 type rating makes me a hero?

Sincerely,

B. Franklin

Not a hero, Mr. Franklin, just a wise investor. I'd say the rate of return on the money you spent at FSI to fly that Beech 1900 isn't quite as high <snicker> as that of the B737 type if you get a job at SWA.

Wise invester hu? I'd say the 10K I spent in 97 (when most were chargeing for training BTW) was the wisest investment I've ever spent. Had I been hired 2-3 years later and saved the 10K I would have lost out on probably 150K over the last 7 years.

That being said, It is up to us so see that those who follow will not have to endure such burdens as we have. Something we have done in our new contract......whenever that gets signed.
