So, SWA is calling their passengers turkeys?

Just what I wanted, to fly with a bunch of turkeys....

Service so cheap, even a turkey can afford it!

Any turkeys need a lift? Call on SWA!

Don't worry you turkeys - SWA to the rescue!......

What's that smell in the exit row? Oh, just another turkey flying SWA!

;)

I kid, I kid!

And Merry Christmas from FedEx!

CHICAGO (Reuters) - FedEx Corp. expects to handle about 5 percent more packages in this year's holiday season, with e-commerce driving the demand, the world's largest air-express carrier said Wednesday.

FedEx expects to ship about 8.5 million packages globally on its busiest days from Thanksgiving to the day after Christmas -- about 400,000 more than last year and the most ever for the Memphis, Tennessee-based company. FedEx's average daily volume year round is 6 million packages.

"Economic growth continues on a healthy and sustainable pace with recent indicators suggesting that the holiday season will be solid," FedEx economist Gene Huang said in a statement. "Improving trends in merchandise sales, business orders, the services sector and employment in the U.S. remain in place, and this bodes well for holiday sales."

Online retail sales are expected to grow 22 percent in the final three months of 2005, to roughly $26 billion, FedEx said, citing market research firm eMarketer.

"With consumers spending more time online, e-commerce will likely drive more holiday activity this season than in the past," Huang said.
