im sorry mr. big bad C-17 UAL guy, does the little sticker hurt your feelings, maybe if UALpa would have allowed the RJs into mainline in the first place this wouldn't be happening would it. but no, your union (and mine btw) said that they didnt want the RJ, because it wasn't a mainline aircraft. so the lorenzo love children, (ornstein, moore, etc.) thought well, we'll just buy a bunch of these little buggers, pay the pilots jack **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED**e and promise them fast upgrades to the left seat and on to greener pastures, all the while taking mainline flying from OUR union brothers because they could do it for cheaper. lets remember that management is in this business for one thing, TO MAKE MONEY, and if the supply gets too expensive, then find someone cheaper to do it.

the gist of it is, you chose to keep RJ's off the hallowed ground of the mainline property and now your flying is gone as well. sleep well, ALPA BROTHER

Treetopflyer, I agree with you on your main point, I wish rj flying came under one umbrella. Instead it's been used to whipsaw our "alpa" pilots, with the promises from management that you speak of.

I'm kinda of at a lost on why your slaming me with the "big bad C-17 UAL guy" title, did I personally wrong you in another life ? If so I apologize.

Dude, he flies the 170, but he is pissed it is taking away mainline jobs. I know of this kid, and his dad works for mainline. He doesn't mean disrespect, he meant it for what it is! A guppy killer, taking away his, and his dads, mainline job....Where do you think he got the sticker?

Yeah, like the old Miles...and Bird. What a story about that guy's life !! However, nothing can compete with a big band. Basie had the soul...nothing clinical...just stuff that reaches your DNA and makes it vibrate. Everyone else can just sorta wait in the car.

Kenton...a bit clinical but fabulous. If you want some fairly current big band stuff...Gene Harris and his Phillip Morris Big Bands. Cigarettes have some redeeming value if they sponsored this music. Three albums...blow you away.

Acoustic guitar...Joe Pass "Virtuoso"...three albums...just Joe. Unequaled.

Saw him play once at a small club in NC. Awesome chops! Also, in my humble opinion, no one playing at his level of technical virtuosity plays with such emotion and musical harmony. A very nice guy, too. He graciously suffered all sorts of questions from the gearheads among us.
