My apologies

I heard this rumor too. I am a CHQ 170 Captain, and heard it is one of our F/O's. I apologize profusely. You can be assured he will be appropriately dealt with. If you EVER see this guy, or any CHQ pilot is unprofessional too you, please get in touch with our Professional Standards committee. That is not the reputation we have worked over 30 years to build, and will not let someone destroy it due to their ignorance/arrogance. We all need to play nice in the sandbox.

What is a guppy killer? What does the sticker look like?

Wait a minute, here...

"Yeah, I'm a member of the CHQ "Professional Standards" board. My e-mail? Definately, dude...it's [email protected] ." (Check the above site, that's really a guy's e-mail address on there.)

Dude...

Dude...

Technically he's on the "Welcoming Committee". Not sure what they do but with that email, I have some ideas.

RIIIIIIIIGHTTTTTTT, much like "Full pay 'til the last day." That's professional.

Hey! What is a guppy killer?

Yeah, "Guppy-Killer" refers to the E-170 being seen as a replacement for the 737. I have yet to see said sticker, but I have heard of them recently.

Mile's O'toole said "RIIIIIIIIGHTTTTTTT, much like "Full pay 'til the last day." That's professional."

Mr. Tool, it was our mechanics who said "full pay til the last day, not the pilots" You might want to check your facts before engaging next time eh?

Ok... Who has them? Chautauqua or United Pilots?

From what I hear, it depends on who you ask. Childish either way.

i see the PC police are at it again. sounds like the sticker just indicates what many think. what is the big deal? no sense of humor? It didn't say anything about un-professional behavior. just a freakin sticker on a flight bag.

This is like having a murder trial without a body!! What about some evidence? Lets see the sticker and make our own decisions from there.

You know, i'm usually one of those "PC Police" but this time I have to agree. It's just a sticker.

It's funny because its true.

Aww heck guys. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see what happened, does it?

What really happened to all of those mainline airplanes and mainline jobs? Where did the Bac 1-11, F28, DC9-10, DC9-30, F100, BAe146, 737-200 etc go?

Most of them are sitting in the desert because, with ALPA's blessing, airline management has replaced them.

They've been replaced by 30 to 70 seat "regional jets" that are willingly flown by so-called "regionals" for a fraction of what similar capacity aircraft were flown for in the past.

The joke's on us! The bigger those "regional jets" bacame the fewer mainline jobs were available. And they're still growing...

90-110 passenger regional jets are right around the corner. Airplanes with transcontinental range. And pilots are going to fly this thing for $25/hr in their first year. Less than $25,000/yr. Wow.

So yeah...the E170 is a Guppy Killer. I don't think its unprofessional for we as pilots to FINALLY recognize that. Maybe it'll make us THINK for a change. It's just a sticker. It's self depricating humor because we are finally admitting that we screwed ourselves into a B-scale profession.

Wish I could get my hands on one of those stickers... but I dont have a flight-bag to put it on anymore anyway.

I don't recall the same level of concern over the BE-1900 "Metroliner Killer" sticker or the ATR "Shorts 330/360 Killer" sticker.

Some punk regional FO is apparently sporting the sticker.

Yeah, you wouldn't want to offend the UAL mainline pilots who wouldn't even look at a 'lowly' regional pilot as they passed in the concourse a few years ago.

I think it's a hoot! Where can I get one?TC
