Just wondering, did anyone in the new hire class do the winter wx test?? When I read the letter from the training dept. it said to do the 2 tests in the test folder. I ended up doing all 3, but I didn't know if anyone else did as well.

Who is this? I love it. It great to get away from the BS. The flying is fun, I'm heading out to Ascension Island on Monday. Beats the heck out of 6 legs through PHL in a day. The company doesn't treat us like a bunch of prison wives like PDT.

Jesus Nick, when I was in EWN, they wouldn't leave me alone. What did you do sleep with all the crew schedulers?

If you fly with Capt Blout, tell him the midget chucker says hi!

I did, well, one of em when I was based in SBY. Best thing I ever did and NO, to all you who have been there for awhile, IT WASN'T RUTHANNE!!!!! I had a great schedule on reserve and I guess I should apoligize to the TPA FO who got screwed to cover my crappy 3 day through PHL so I could go take his TPA schedule for 3 days of out and backs in January.

By the way, hello to all my peeps in EWN- miss the dunk pool parties at one infamous crashpad

returning two??? i thought as we returned the 200's we are getting 100's as well as 2 300's.... are we just not going to get those 300's?

If you think our fleet will ever increase in size, then you are definitely on drugs. If you are on drugs, you need to share.

So now it looks like it will be minus 12 aircraft total, 2 of which are already gone and haven't been replaced. If and when the others will be replaced is anyones guess. Maybe that's why the training dept is telling people we are getting 2 more -300s. This way it'll be more acceptable to us when we lose two of them. Just like the other ten.

From Management:
NOOOOOOOO. Don't quit. We keep getting more flying and we can barely cover it. We need ten more airplanes to cover our flying. We're so short. By the way, CLT and PHF are closing May 1st. We will announce the PSA/PDT merger On May 2nd. This will make the merger much easier, due to the fact that there will be no co-domiciles between the two companies. All the senior PDT guys in CLT today will be fenced out of CLT after the merger for at least a year if not two. And one more thing, no paint, ever. Please don't quit, we're dropping the occurence policy.

that was hilarious,

heres a question for peeps to comment on that have the low down in SBY. why in the world did they hire new peeps recently, i have met A LOT of people lately that are not flying (i mean like 1 call in 2 weeks) from scheduling while sitting on RSV. whats the deal are they going to now have 60 people sitting on reserve never getting called? ihave heard the same is partially true with FA's? how truthful is that we aren't reaplacing the 200s with anything i thought it was going to be old alg 100's... did anyone hear what buch, and mason had to say in LGA on thursday?

I can't give you any official answers, but I do know that there is an old alg plane in front of the hanger in mdt getting ready to be put back online. It's a start. Also, The reserves down south may be sitting around, but we could use some F.O.'s up here. Many of the rsv captains have been doing right seat trips the last month or two here.

I dont think its anything special. Sure there are aircraft parked at MDT or SBY this time of year. Just like every other year from back when ALG/PDT were seperate and way back during Henson/Surburban/Penn/Jeststreat/ and the rest. After xmas flying goes down, lines drop and many times they park aircraft or keep them all flying at a reduced level. The same thing happens after Labor Day. Every year when the flying picks up for spring flings of students going south and then the summer flying is added back. Just the regular ebb and flow. Nothing special happening behind closed doors or what the rumors say or what your MEC guys lead you to think.
