For those who are fairly positive about GLA, what's their status? Hiring, expansion, reduction, mins, class dates, etc.

Thanks.

I was thinking about my upgrade... now I am thinking CDL!

Back to the origianl poster: Hiring=yes (EMB &1900) from a recent open house, mins=don't know, plans=expansion (w/Frontier & EAS in KS), Class Dates=supposedly 1 class a month

Expansion is actually negative, but that's the neat thing about Lakes - Attrition is so high that you can enjoy continued seniority progression and timely upgrade even in the face of a shrinking airline. I guess that's a fairly positive thing.

Yes, GLA Is Getting Jets

Straight from the "man" himself in Cheyenne- Great Lakes is going to start getting RJs when an RJ can be had for less than 7 million dollars per copy. So this means that GLA will start getting RJs on about the 15th of never. In the mean time however, we are getting busses- Greyhound busses, and the best news is that yes, GLA flightcrew members will be able to jumpseat on the bus.

Hey Greyhound jumpseaters...........

Watch the drivers....
If they go side to side on the road, tell them it's time to wake up!

DO ask before you get in the front seat. Some guys don't like to have anyone in them unfortunately.

DON'T ask how negotiations are going between the union and Greyhound. Don't get the driver started.

If the driver is covered with safety pins all over his uniform, and tells you he's been driving for less than 5 years. He bought those pins at E-Bay.

Have a nice trip......
;)
