Was in PUB today and GLA was off the end of the 10,500 ft runway. Anyone know what happened? It touched down about half way down the runway, might have been doing training.

Must have touched down a bit further than half way down a 10,000+ foot runway. 4000 feet should be plenty of room to get one stopped assuming all was OK mechanically.

Regardless of how much time the new guy had, where was the PIC? Got to be more to it than meets the eye. I hope they are alright!

How the hell is Lakes getting people with that much time?

What do mean? They are applying. You can not get hired unless you send in a resume. Maybe they now somebody that works there also.

I had an interview there back in 99 and turned it down. I think I had about 1000 hrs then. The captain I talked to back then had 500 hrs when he got hired.
